Presentation of the book “Lawyers of our time. Names. Achievements. Progress”.

August 3, 2010 at the “Pansky Hutor” restaurant in Kyiv a presentation of the book “Lawyers of our time. Names. Achievements. Progress” was hosted.

The project proves that lawyers of the present are people full of pride for their nation, ready to protect the legitimate interests and rights of citizens, thereby raising the prestige of their country. The publication is invaluable to the creation of constant striving for personal growth of the younger generation, for daily increase of their professional and intellectual level, for desire to augment the glory of Ukraine with their own achievements. Stories about prominent figures show that the legal profession is a social occupation in the first place, because the cases that a lawyer works on are true stories that are basic for any judicial review.

This profession requires absolute knowledge of the law, extensive experience, eloquence, communication skills, which allow a lawyer to perform his functions: to protect the accused or the defendant, to defend the interests of his client in a civil or administrative case.

The volume presents the public with professional and social activities of local lawyers and their academic and personal achievements in the field of state and law, protection of human rights and freedoms.

On the occasion of the book publishing, the Biographical Research Institute and the project participants were congratulated by Sergey Kivalov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Justice.
